If you use Logic, Cubase, Sonar, Reason, Nuendo or Protools (to name a few) in the classroom then you might like to look at http://www.editorskeys.com/. This company makes stickers that you can place on a standard computer keyboard that highlight the shortcuts to many of the program functions. They are a great way of highlighting the features that students can employ when composing and a LOT cheaper than buying the specialist keyboards that are available from some manufacturers. You can also pick and choose which stickers you use to limit the level of complexity, which may be useful in some cases – I know from my experience that students can sometimes be over faced with the number of things they can do and this can distract them from what functions may be most helpful to them. I have used them for a while now and have found them to be good quality and easy to clean. I found them a bit of a hassle to fit – time consuming as you might expect. However, they made up for it pretty quickly as my speed of working noticeably increased.
